I just posted a blog about the weight loss possibilities of eating a big breakfast. Will the results highlighted in the study cause you to change your breakfast routine?

How important do you think breakfast is? What did you eat for breakfast? What did your kids eat for breakfast?

Let's find out............

oh you are so bad for asking this today!!! weekdays I make mix fresh fruit with organic yogurt and have ezekiel toast but on the weekends I actually cook for the family....yesterday was an organic egg omelette with swiss cheese, onion, and a little ham (yes, we do eat meat so I guess we are taking whatever color pill that is....) and I made a few fresh potato pancakes, and today I was really crazy and made homemade blueberry muffins with fresh blueberries and they were amazing!!! Then we took a nice long walk as a family to work it all off!! hope you all have a SUPER SUNDAY!!!! :-)

I love everything about breakfast. It's my favorite meal of the day. I definitely find it makes a difference in how I feel for the morning if I don't eat breakfast or on the rare occaision I grab something junky, like a store bought muffin or something.

Ususally I have two pieces of toast, a cup of tea and some fruit. But today I had half of an orange scone from Panera. No fruit. :( Althought it's still morning, so I guess it's not too late. :)

When my kids were little I was very strict about what they ate. They actually say the word is "fanatic". lol I never bought sugary cereals, Pop-Tarts, etc. As a result, they are terrible eaters and that is all they consume now. lol And they are thin and I am fat.

Sometimes you just can't win.

Breakfast is a must! If I don't get my standard bowl of cereal and OJ my whole day is thrown off! ~Lisa

Breakfast is important for me. As a French and Italian descent, I always have cappuccino that I prepare myself at home and a slice of a toasted whole wheat bread (high in fiber) I make myself too. That's enough for me. I keep the smoothie, juices, or fruits for snack before lunch.

My daughter eats a big breakfast, then doesn't eat all that much during the rest of the day. She DOES eat, but unless she's having a growth spurt (she's 4 1/2), she'll only eat what she really wants, and leave the rest. My son? Oy! He's so picky!
I usually eat what I'm craving at breakfast (which, lately, has been cereal) and try to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm satisfied. TRY being the operative word there, lol!
And, yeah, gotta have the coffee!

Wow, it's great to see all the different ideas presented here for breakfast. I'm impressed..................:)

My breakfast usually consists of a fruit, oatmeal. and once in a while, a bagel with low-fat veggie cream cheese. I don't do eggs too often, but love a good omelet filled with spinach, onion, hot peppers, and a little cilantro.

Oh, and I always have coffee, and love it with soy milk, although, the next time I'm at the store, I'm going to check out the hemp milk.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
People should eat breakfast like a king and eat dinner like a bagger.

Oh, I forgot... I also have green tea during the day. I make a pitcher (or jar) and have it little by little... even if it is cold. And I have straight rolled oats (without any sweetener) almost every day for snack. Or I can have a spoonful of oat bran to add more fiber to my diet.

My kids are in the late 20's now so I don't have to tell them anymore how to look for healthy food. They learned from me and never gave me a problem about becoming vegetarians... isn't nice? It could be that I started when they were just tender to obey :)

And one last thing... I am thrilled to belong to this wonderful group! I get ideas, share mine, and learn about many things that are not discuss anywhere else!

I am not a pleasant person until I have my morning cupa.

This morning I had scrambled eggs and a couple of strips of bacon - I am on vacation! But I have to say, I was not hungry at lunch and barely touched my chicken sandwich. On the whole, not too bad.

I love breakfast, and cant imagine myself without. My breakfast is oatmeal porridge (NOT instant), plus banana, plus some ricotta cheese and espresso.

my son had a banana, 1/2 grapefruit and some rice. I had 2 fried eggs with fried rice with muenster cheese melted on top and a dollop of salsa. I eat all my high calorie and bad foods in the AM. My largest meal of the day is b-fast and/or lunch, not dinner.
