I am always somewhere between 5 and 9 servings a day. Even when I am eating horribly, I manage to get fruit and veggies in. They are simply my most favorite foods.

It's true that we all need to eat more fresh organic fruits and veggies every day. Yesterday I had 2 servings of watermelon, 1 serving of cantelope, 2 servings of peaches, and 2 servings of fresh vegetables. I get about 5-7 servings in each day. However, I also have a secret "back up" to my daily diet that feeds my body the nutrition the I really need. I drink a smoothie every morning that is loaded with tons of fruits and vegetables. It's a live whole food-based InstaFresh juice powder drink called "the Feast," made by Uri International. It delivers a full, synergistic spectrum of over 176 all natural ingredients, including 30 antioxidant rich fruits and berries, 30 power greens and vegetables, 11 nutrient dense seeds, nuts, and sprouts, 83+ active enzymes and fulvic mineral blend, and 22 resilient living probiotics. Now, aren't you glad you asked the question. By taking the Feast every morning, I am assured that I'm getting an incredible variety and diversity of vegetables and fruits in my diet, of course, all made from the highest quality certified organic and/or naturally grown, free of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, fillers, additives, preservatives, dairy, GMO, pasteurization, or irradiation. The amazing thing about it is that it actually tastes great and leaves me feeling full and satisfied until about noon or 1 pm. Today I had 8, most days it's around 11 servings.
That's all thanks to THE FEAST. Josiah mentions it below. In fact the organic farmer, Uri Lebaron that created it, used to provide many of the raw materials for Juice Plus. THE FEAST fruit and veggie juice powder is what caused me to start craving fruits and veggies...otherwise I'd still be a
carb-o-holic!!!
And yes...I always plan on increasing that intake. And as many raw as possible.

Fruit is on my plan each day. I replace a lot things I eat with fruit. I find if I do this that I don't crave the things I should not eat.

Um...I don't count. I do know that I eat a lot of fruits for my meals because I am a sucker for fruits. I can finish one whole watermelon by myself in less than 15 minutes. I kid you not. lol.

Nonetheless there are certain fruits that I have to avoid such as Durian, a local fruit that contains high calories. I was advised by my doctor to cut/reduce Durian. Durian was addictive and boy, was a heavenly treat. I think I still ate Durian during my first month of weight loss but I eventually stopped eating it. Not a big deal to cut it from my food intake really.

I used to hate vegetables, excluding water spinach. I was born to eat spinach. But as years passed by, I've started to love eating all kind of vegetables - raw even. Best way to eat veggies is by preparing it as salad. Add a bit of olive oil, slices of chicken, roasted potatoes, roasted tempeh, black peppers, basil and you are ready to go. Crunch it.

Regards,

JJ

In my new fitness lifestyle two servings of vegetables is a minimum for me. They are so important for our overall health and also aid or workout efforts.

Keep crunching on those veg! Long live the veg!

Stress got me thinking about how little fruit and veggies I've been eating lately- contraindicative of proper nutrition. I'm back on track and eating my banana right now. Usually I eat fruits and veggies all day, snacks, meals, salads...I love zucchini and squash in a pita pocket with roasted peppers and some leftover meat, whatever I have in the fridge. I am just desperate to de-stress right now and can't seem to get going...uhg!! OK going to the gym for a hard workout, that should do it for me.

Also, I've been sampling Cell-Nique. It's a super green drink with a ton of 'good for you' nutrients. It taste awesome so it's easy to drink. I think it's a little on the pricey side but potentially worth having for those stressful, busy days. A bottle has 12 oz, 0 fat, about 90-100 calories, about 7 g protein and all the vitamins you can get out of fruits and vegetables mixed into a sweet drink---no sugar added, just organic fruits and veggies.

hello everyone,
Well, I can be sure to get 20 servings of greens and fruit each day that I make my smoothie at breakfast! I use a greens drink that is organic, whole food and gives me all those veggies; called Berry Green from a company called New Chapter.

It is the best right now with my fresh blueberries, raspberries, and peaches added to it. I also add some fiber and hemp protein to make a complete meal and a great start to the day. And soon the blackberries may be out, if this rainy cool week does not hurt them too much-----they are wild here.

have a positive day....the secret dvd
