Currently, there’s a meme going around the health blogosphere, “What is your Biggest Health/Fitness Vice?” which was started over at Fit36. Most of us have one or two Achilles heel when it comes to weight loss and exercise. Fast food, cake, not getting up in time to exercise, wine, not liking vegetables, etc.

What health or fitness vices do you have? What’s your biggest weakness? What food causes you to go weak at the knees? What’s your favorite excuse for missing your exercise routine?

Maybe we can help each other……………

Sleep, tired has always been my excuse. I decided over three years ago that was an excuse of the past so what did I do? Get up early....4-5am. Although it is an occasional challenge, the results have been well worth it!

I need accountability - someone who will be let down if I don't show up for a walk or a workout at the gym.

I actually posted on this topic on my blog. The short answer - my biggest vice is food. For the long answer, check out the post:

Another vice I have is just sheer laziness. I love to just lay around!

My biggest weakness is simple...weekends. I do great during the week but during the weekends, I am thrown so off schedule and routine that I tend to not make the best eating choices. I don't drink during the week, but I do like to have some drinks on the weekends (I am in my late 20's and still like to go out with my friends.) I have definitely tried to work on this, but it is still a major weakness. What can I say, I like my hefeweizen and other tasty beverages!

My biggest weakness is chocolate. LOL
My favorite excuses for missing my exercise routine:

- I'm tired
-It's that time of the month
- I have too many other things to do (that never get done)

oh yeah, I don't like to cook (doesn't mean I don't do it...I just don't like to). It's my biggest vice.

My biggest weakness is Starbucks!!! I was a die-hard white chocolate mocha drinker every single day after lunch rain or shine for years. Breaking that habit was one of the hardest but also very rewarding for my weight loss efforts and my wallet! I still drink Starbucks on occassion (once or twice a week and the drink must fit into my calorie counting) but it's a much more toned down drink. A tall iced caramel machiato for 170 calories. (Sometimes I choose the NF milk but I go back and forth with that.)

So there you go, I am living proof that there is life after Starbucks!

My exuse is always late hours at work.
Some days I get sooooooo tired that it seems absolutely impossible tp go to the gym or anywhere else except home (and bed).
But 9 out of 10 occasions I force myself to go and have a class and afterwards feel really happy, relaxed and proud of myself.

Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate. I have no problem getting up to exercise, or even eating right, but I can't turn down chocolate.

My weakness is forgetting WHO I am sometimes

I think, and that is where the Power comes from, we all have strong desire to improve our physical well being.

But for the same reasons so many feel frustrated about Jobs, family relations, attainment of supposed success levels; many are frustrated about "lapses" in their Fitness program.

It amazes me, observing from my quiet rural perch, how much garbage Society
purports we must assume.
If most would cut out the Drive for the accumulation of useless material possesssions,
most of which are never owned, they would find TIME available to finish each DAY The Most Important TASKS, and that is TAKING Care of Yourself.

Everytime I allow Social pressure in my space, I forget about ME and what I want, and How to get it...

So off for another 5 mile walk in the orchard, it is only 97 today 4:05 PM, and the walk is more important than making a few more Calls.

As Mark used some words...
There really are no Excuses..
There is only the lack of TRUE Desire!
Let us STOP avoiding Pain, and go out and Revel in PLEASURE
It is our Birthright

Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. I will literally eat the whole thing and start on a second. I never even feel full. It's like a compulsion - it cannot be in my house.

Chocolate and the excuse that I am to tired to go to the gym, overeating when I am bored.

Ice cream and sleep. I LOVE sleeping 9+ hours and it totally jacks with my workout time! ;)
