Currently, there’s a meme going around the health blogosphere, “What is your Biggest Health/Fitness Vice?” which was started over at Fit36. Most of us have one or two Achilles heel when it comes to weight loss and exercise. Fast food, cake, not getting up in time to exercise, wine, not liking vegetables, etc.

What health or fitness vices do you have? What’s your biggest weakness? What food causes you to go weak at the knees? What’s your favorite excuse for missing your exercise routine?

Maybe we can help each other……………

My biggest issue is going out with friends. I am not a social butterfly, but I have a close group of girlfriends that I get together with on a regular basis. Summer has just brought on even more reasons to get together. For the most part, they are extremely supportive and down-right admiring of my commitment to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.

However, many of these gatherings include a bottle (or two) of wine and almost always some sort of dessert. My goal with these gatherings is to have one glass of wine and a VERY small serving of the sweet. The point of my healthy lifestyle is "moderation"; not expecting perfection; not going hog wild for a month when I do overeat in one outing.

Tonight is one those special gatherings. I am taking with me some ammunition against the generous food that will be laid out on the table: some veggies with hummus and non-fat yogurt.

Back then it was due to working hours. I had to work overtime till 12. It was a fun job but truly exhausting mentally and physically. Eventually I've had enough and decided to resign from the job. However I managed to mess up my weight on the last two working months.

Currently I'm running my own business and do part time job only. Amen.

Even though I resently sang the praises of the potato...

...my biggest vice is potato chips. I love those things...but have replaced them, for the most part, with soy chips. Yummy, but not the same.

Mike, is it a home made soy chips? I do my own home made potato chips but I would like to try soy chips. Any chance you have the recipe? Very much appreciated.

JJ
