- I'm a diabetic for 36 years and been on the pump for 3 years. I have the medtronic mini-med. I like it. I do have problems now and then. Sometimes the skin around the injection area gets inflamed and the insulin cannot absorb as it should. I'm also trying to find new spots on my body for the pump because I think I'm running out of space on my stomach.
