Photography and Biycling played a very important role in my formative years. Photography, because I became a very passionate advocate for it as an art form; and cycling because one of my best friends was ranked in his age in California. So I used to follow the Tour de France, at a very early age. I really enjoy your pictures, hope to see you a lot more here at Iowa Avenue. It's a very supportive and informative place to help you with all of your weight loss issues.

I usually travel with a laptop. I hope to blog daily when cycling the Parkway, but that's dependent upon getting access to a connection. I'll have my Garmin Forerunner, and hopefully the new Garmin share capabilities will be up and running - the replacement to MotionBased.

Will you be taking a laptop with you, or other form of Internet communications?

Jack, I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures of your bike ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've driven the road and know what a great ride it is, but biking it must be 100% better.

Welcome to Iowa Avenue.

About Me:
I joined the Peace Corps and spent three years as a teacher in Africa. An early indication of my future destiny as a photographer was that I didn't bring a camera, and never took a picture while in Africa. Before leaving for Africa, I had read an article which mentioned that many people in the country (The Republic of the Congo) believed that a camera would steal their soul. I made some friends during my stay, and came to realize that the article was not far from the truth.

Fortune has allowed me to come full circle and return to my earlier interest in photography. I am at that age were some weight loss would be beneficial. I certainly don't believe all photographers need to starve, but my initial goals are realistic, if not humble. The industry has changed tremendously, but the possibilities are unlimitted. I am grateful that my parents' gave me a generic name. It's allowed me to explore numerous paths unhindered.

"I continue to seek exquisite beauty in my images, exploring all techniques, old and new".

The Cape Cod Rail Trail follows a former railroad right-of-way for 22 miles

Among the most scenic recreation trails in Massachusetts and a favorite with cyclists and day hikers, the Cape Cod Trail provides access to beaches, fresh water ponds, cranberry bogs and wild wetlands, quiet villages, and some of the best bird watching in the state. Anglers may want to try their luck on North Pond, where bass and panfish can be caught from shore.

The suffering and destruction of children in Darfur is an obscenity

When we view photographs of war-torn bodies, piled-up corpses, or starving children, are we changed?
