Yes Virginia, there is a healthy energy drink!

You pop open your favorite Energy drink and pound it down. A few minutes later you are 10 feet tall and bulletproof and on top of the world, you feel invincible. An hour later you feel overwhelmed and depressed, your officemates stepping over your now crashed and energy depleted body. You drag yourself to the nearest Energy drink and the vicious cycle starts all over again. How did this happen? Where did it all start?

The soft drink market is a 56 BILLION dollar a year industry. A rising part o… Continue

Reducing High Blood Pressure with Vitamins - Four Nutrients That Will Save Your Life

This article was written by Alvin Hopkinson a researcher who specializes in natural ways to reduce blood pressure.

This article goes along with my philosophy that prescription drugs, necessary and life saving in most cases are not the ONLY solutions to physical and mental ailments. I believe that if we are provided with the proper nutrients and minerals each day that our own body can "heal" itself. I am NOT advocating to stop the usage of your properly prescribed medications, but offering you i… Continue

Lack Of Sufficient Iodine In Your Diet Can Cause Mental Retardation

Research published in Environmental Science and Technology Journal, (Dasgupta P, Liu Y, et al.) has revealed that iodized salt is not likely to contain the amount of iodine it’s supposed to, and even if it did, many Americans are cutting back on salting home-cooked meals.

Because excessive sodium intake can increase hypertension risks, many agencies now recommend reducing salt intake. A 1995 report found 58% of men and 68% of women reported never using salt, using “lite” salt, or rarely using o… Continue

WHY YOU NEED TO TAKE NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS

Many people ask why one needs to take vitamins or minerals. And some people who do take supplements ask why you need dosages exceeding the recommended daily allowances? Among the reasons are depleted soil, low-nutrient crops, food processing, use of pesticides and herbicides, stress, special circumstances like pregnancy, and that we use nutrients for therapy, not just to avoid deficiency diseases.

Government scientists meet periodically to decide the levels of the recommended daily allowances (… Continue

Hi John,
Thanks for the information. I prefer using food whenever possible - I eat seaweed almost every day, and take aloe vera juice when I feel a flare-up coming on. I also eat a mostly whole foods diet, which was key in overcoming both the IBS and acid reflux. I'm glad you've found something that works for you! I haven't had a chance to take a look - will do so soon!

Warmly,
Jody
