I’m a veteran TV health reporter who traveled my way from the newsrooms of television stations in Texas, Iowa, and Kansas to the online world. As a journalist with a passion for healthy diet and exercise, I’m always looking for fun ways to do both. I’m a chocolate connoisseur ;) but know I have to burn those extra calories and that it takes a constant effort to stay at a healthy weight.

The idea for my website – FatFighterTV.com - came to me after covering the obesity epidemic for years and seeing its effects on so many people, especially children – like pre-teens who now have diabetes and other health problems. Something needs to change.

I wanted to create a place for families to find healthy tips and information on diet, fitness, and the obesity epidemic, but I also wanted it to be fun. So along with original videos, the latest news, and interviews with top health professionals, you’ll also find a creative video forum, contests, and the Fun Factor – stuff that can make diet and exercise more enjoyable.

Bottom line – we need to reverse the obesity trend in this country. But whether you’re trying to shed some pounds or just health conscious, why not have a little fun along the way? Losing that unhealthy weight and keeping it off may not be easy, but enjoying the journey is half the battle.

Right now my husband and I are going through a crazy hard 6-week fitness/boot camp!
