Miguel Pineiro (Wickert) More Running

You guessed it- running, which is amazing, has become an active part of my weekly routine. The goals here are many: - Run a marathon this year (before my 26th Birthday (Aug 21). - Continue a natural progression in my running ( at 5 miles per run 3x a week). - Strengthen and enhance my overall fitness. There's a short preview for now. Lastly, today I ran, according to iTunes Nike Sports Kit- 5.38 (something like that) miles. The most I've done about six years. I beginning to hunger for it more… Continue

Lisa Newton My Word for the Year - Outside

We’re already in the first week of the New Year, but like many people I’m still contemplating what this year will bring, and how I can bring the New Year. Over at The Jungle of Life, Lance talks about focusing on one word.

Using one word was a new idea for me, and one I t

Edie Dykeman One Day at a Time in 2009

Having had years of experience in starting the new year on the right foot, healthwise, I know that I must monitor my progress every day. If one day goes by that I have not kept an eye on what I eat, weigh, or how much I exercise, I am doomed to fail. When I keep it simple with a small notebook or chart, I have the greatest success. So my healthy lifestyle resolution for this year is: Monitor my healthy lifestyle progress every day, but keep it simple as I move forward throughout the yearContinue

Lisa Newton Have you considered paying yourself when you reach a goal?

Rachyl Stone Bringing Sexy Back!

Ok, so I haven't really blogged or posted here for a while and I decided that I needed to get back in the swing of things, for crying out loud! I have made tons of empty promises of a gorgeous, hot bod and not giving up this time and blah blah blah. Well, this time I mean it. I'm actually keeping up with my food journal, exercising 5 days a week (last week I did 6 just for the fun of it!) and making sure I write on my blog (www.worldinsidemyhead.com) as much as possible - not skipping more than… Continue

Lisa Newton “From the Moment they Wake, they Seek Perfection”

This is a line from the movie, The Last Samurai, starring Tom Cruise.

As I was watching it last night I found myself entranced with the plot and the movie.

I’ve seen it before, but as with all good movies, you will see things the second time around you missed the first time, like the quote above.

According to Merriam-Webster

alittlestone A Good Week

I was a very good girl this week. I did my exercises and stuck to my diet with no cheating or slacking off. As a result of being such a good girl my scale went below 160 pounds for the first time since being pregnant with Benjamin. (My four year old.) This was one of my first big goals, and it's exciting to be here! An added bonus was that a lady where I work, at mall playland (I can even bring my kids), commented today that chasing after my kids must be what keeps me so slim. Ahhhh... Music t… Continue
