Iowa Avenue

Apparently, a few compliments go a long way with me. A long way to making me so cocky I completely slack off! A couple people this week told me I looked thinner to them, so my mind has taken that to mean I can do whatever I want and there's really no need to put on that exercise tape or stop myself from ordering pizza for supper.

Sigh.

On the upside... I have officially lost 10 pounds, and none of my slacking off seems to be making the scale climb back up to where it was a week ago... So I just need to get back my momentum. I can do it. I will do it.

Just don't compliment me when I do.

As a friend of mine has told me several times, "Don't rest on your laurels, keep moving forward."

It's great people are complimenting you and seeing your progress, but you have a "bigger" picture in mind of a smaller, healthier you. So, just keep on the course you've established.......................:)

After I gave birth to my daughter, everyone told me I was too thin. What they really meant was "I'm too jealous" . Needless too say I gained all the weight back and I looked like I was pregnant again. Everybody was happy again except me.

Ha! That sounds like the way things usually go. I've struggled a bit with feeling guilty about losing weight too, even though I know everyone in my life is happy I'm finally getting at it.

My children went to see the documentary at the theater. After watching this, they plan to improve their shopping even more. I will eventually see it at least when it comes to DVD so I can forward some animal slaughter parts... :(
