Iowa Avenue

I'm going through hell at the moment. I just can't stop eating, and dont know what to do about it, I want to start a diet but they never help me. I think it's because im on college holidays and i get up at 10 eat, eat at 12, snack all day eat dinner. My portion sizes are getting bigger and bigger im noticing and I'm alwasy hungry. I always want chocolate. It sucks :( I have no dociplince at the moment, and I'm just putting on weight. Not alot, but enough to scare me. I don't know what to do, any ideas? HELP

I agree with Diana, in fact I just blogged about the success people are having with food journals. You can even keep a food journal here at Iowa Avenue and keep it totally private if you want to. Just use the privacy buttons before you post it.

Start slowly with small steps. While you're writing down what you've been eating, think about what type of exercise you might add to your routine. Take a walk and think about what goal or goals you'd like to accomplish................:)

diets don't work, so don't start a "diet". Start writing down everything you put in your mouth, in other words, keep a food journal. When you eat something, write down what you were feeling at the time - bored, stressed, happy, etc. Make a commitment to make one healthy change in your eating habits.
